Of course we hear only the bad stories, but even so, I guess once you've purchased the lottery ticket you're in the draw.

No one would know if or when their ABS number will come up, and by all reports I have read, it will only come up at the most dangerous time.

I did a lot of research when buying new in 2015..... an ABS blade pre 2017 is a ticking time bomb from everything I've read. A low mileage rider can own an ABS blade for several years and never experience the fault but eventually there's a strong chance it will let you down. It's not 1 or 2 people experiencing issues, it's a lot.

I'd rather not answer that as I'm not well enough read on the exact issues and Hondas response. All I know is it takes about 5 seconds of googling to realise there is a real and tangible issue with the Honda C-ABS. Any buyer who wants to keep the bike long term and do plenty of miles should keep looking for a non ABS. @Lozzy will be along in a minute to scare everyone, she'll tell us about her ABS experience aswell.

The only way I'd buy a bike with Chinese fairings is if the originals were bubble wrapped and included in the sale.

Well, fortunately for myself and fellow member @PauloHRC there are buyers and dealers quite prepared to buy/trade bikes with Chinese fairings. I think we must remember that most of us on here are more 'fastidious' than the general 'bloke in the street buyer', many of whom wouldn't know a Chinese fairing from from a noodle box.

I just think if the originals are nowhere to be seen then the likelihood is that they've been damaged at some point. Which leads to more questions than answers, how has it been repaired etc. There are enough decent bikes out there to not need to bother taking chances with chinese noodle boxes.

Ah but remember...... My bike was traded on with the promise of the mint condition fairings put back on the bike (which Hunts kindly did for me) leaving me with the Chinese ones to sell on at a very small loss...... Win win in my eyes ;)

I would not buy a bike for several thousand pounds that had non original fairings though..... Ever!! o_O unless the originals are included in the sale..... I'd ask the question..... Where the fuck are they???

There are two types of people in this world.... Those who put Chinese fairings on their bikes to protect the originals......
And those who put Chinese fairings on their bike because they smashed the originals up...... Sad but true ;)

Well, @Paulo, I have introduced a 'third type of person' because I bought mine only for the theme change and refresh! My originals weren't smashed, but did subsequently sell for a good price.:)

I think it's just a standard black bike with custom stickers on it.

Unitedfairings was the name of the seller I got mine from on ebay. To be honest most of the Chinese sellers you see on ebay are probably all from the same place and manufactured in the same place. Just pick a design you like and go with it!
    I went for matte black......

Thanks Paul, do customs contact you for payment? I've never done anything like that before. Yes I'll be going for exactly the same scheme I have oem.
