So, I’ve had my iPhone 8 for a couple of years now and have finally admitted I need a new phone as basically it is f**ked.

what are you guys using? What can you recommend? I’ve been looking towards the iPhone XR, I don’t do a lot on my phone other than socials, a few games, pictures, messages, calls and videos ;)
    I begrudge spending over £50 a month
    Suggestions?

    Sony Xperia XZ3.

Bought it for the camera stuff, as I like to take pictures and cameras are becoming a pain to carry around - cameras on phones are so good.

Real beauty of a phone, but a bit tall. I think I would rather have my iPhones again as I have not bothered with any apps on this - but had loads on my iPhones.

Lovely pictures from it, and vids.

I've forever had Samsungs and recently fancied a change and since my brain is firmly trained with Android I opted for a Huawei P Smart, the camera on it is amazing compared to anything I had before and it came with a Huawei Media Pad (their version of an ipad) and I haven't put it down. Data is transferable between the devices too. Easily the best phone I've had and it took me seconds to learn how to use it being Android and similar to the Samsung. All for £31 per month!

It is spying on your brain and transmisting the signals back to China :D

Worked out how to move pictures from Android to Mac, so happy with Android. That was a bit of a concern. I found the move to Android OK, with the help of a few YouTube videos !

Android all the way here. Currently got a Samsung Galaxy S10e. Opted to get the S10e instead of the S10 because I'd grown a bit sick of phablet phones and wanted something smaller.

Overall I'm very happy with it but the camera is poor.

I have a cheaper Samsung because I don't use many of the functions. Also have good deal with BT SIM because everything tech in my home is BT.

I've always been a rap for Samsung and have had their printers, and now have current Samsung TV and DVD player.

I've been on Android almost continuously since 2010, partly because of a pathological hatred of crApple as a company, but also because I like new technology and despite Apple claiming to have brought new tech to the market it has mainly been Android based phones that have led the field in bringing out new technologies for most of this decade.

Currently have a Note 9 as I used to spend a lot of time away from home and couldn't always be bothered taking or using a tablet.

iPhone 7 here. Just stuck the new iOS13 on it (got rid of the jailbreak).
Does everything I need, absolutely nothing wrong with it, 3yrs in and still going strong - battery is a bit quicker to discharge but I'll just get it swapped for a new one at the 'iSmash' store in bluewater.

Samsung S8 Note, big enough for work purposes and all the benefits of the S8 build. Will be happy with this for another few years yet.

How do you manage to f**k your phone in just a couple of years:eek:
I would stay with apple if you use facetime, Icloud ... and also have othe devices on the same account and have set them up to work together.
No doubt other brands have copied these features or have different ones, I am just not up for stating from scratch with a new system

It won’t take calls or make calls, or rather it will but I can’t hear anyone and they can’t hear me. Physically it’s still in good condition, must be overuse! :D

Don’t want to put you off a new phone, but

check you network service. Sometimes it’s bidirectional quality is gin one direction and poor in the other. I experienced this where people said they could not hear me properly.
Have you tested your sim with another phone? Would be a shame getting rid of a good phone
Maybe your service provider has blocked you:eek: (dirty talk;):D?. Maybe?)
