    Leathers......that is.

I seem to have a problem. Either I've got calves like Arnie or I'm doing something wrong.

I've currently got a pair of TCX boots and really struggle to do up the zip on them. I've just bought a pair of Gaerne GP1 boots to replace them and, judging by how tight they are on my legs in my work trousers, I reckon I've got bugger-all chance of getting my leather-clad legs into them.

Question is. When you've got your leathers on, how far down towards your ankle do the bottom of your leathers reach?

I always manage to find some a bit longer so when I'm on the bike and loosen them around the knees, they're then just right at ankle length. I guess some physiques are going to suit standard fit and others not. I think many of us would shop for the right fit and then stick with that brand.;)

What's the issue here though; the length of the leathers, or the tightness of boots around the calf?

Mine go half way down my calves - forces me to wear high boots but that's fine, if I'm in the leathers then I'm wearing those anyway!

That's what I'm trying to figure out :D

My calves are reasonably large but not massively so. I'm presuming it's because the leathers go too far down into my boots. I'd say that the bottom of the leathers are a little over 2/3 of the way down my leg between my knee and my ankle when I'm trying to do the boots up.

I tend to end up a bit more Danilo Petrucci than Scott Redding :D

My leathers go right down to my ankle and my RST boots are also a bit tight. They have loosened off a bit since new so are acceptable now. Next time I will definitely try boots on with my leathers.

Mine go to just above my ankle but I have to pull them up a bit other wise I can't zip my boots up. I've got fairly big calves, I tried an Alpinestars Atem suit on (I've got a Motegi one at mo) and I couldn't do the legs zips up as they don't have any adjustability. was really annoying as the fit everywhere else was spot on, and it was cheap in the sale :(.
