Hello stranger. Nice bike but if I had that sort of money to blow on a toy, I would get that unused SP1 from Hunts.

Mmm. That would be a very difficult choice for me.

I would be inclined to tip in another 3 or 4 grand and go the whole hog to a good RC30.

Nevertheless, the Evo is a very special bike in the history of Honda.

From what others say, and from what I have seen, Yamaha has to be in the frame - whether R1 or MT10.;)

Think Honda are pricing themselves out of the market with new blade prices , but begrudge the fact u can’t have the beemer in motors colours unless u buy the £20,000 model

Still want another sports bike , while the old body allows it , that rules out an mt10 also think gixer thou is cheap but the build quality is poor , Aprillia rsv4 very expensive along with new blades . So god knows , debates maybe a 17 or 18 plate blade sp that’s lost shit loads of money , but are they riddled with throttle and gearbox problems

    Huh?

    Riddled?

That's like saying that just because one person has gonorrhoea, the whole community has it!

A couple or few people have had problems that, in the main, have been caused by tyre and or sprocket changes. There's a number of owners on here who have the 17 - 19 who would boast of having no problems at all;).

Wonder how much the dealers will try to sell off the unsold standard model 2020 blade towards the end of the year? No doubt some will send them away to get WSB or BSB colour schemes to make them even less desirable.

Given the state of play on the 2018s and 2019s, I reckon you'll pick up a black one for mid 16s.

Much will hinge upon whether there's an announcement for an update for 2021.

Steve they had a 2019 SP 0 miles down to 15k at Via Moto in Sheffield a few wks back. Am I right in thinking they'd sorted the throttle issues on the 19 one?

Yes. Different ECU. That's what @RC45 and I were spewing about because Honda claims they're not 'backward' compatible. (Cost me a couple of stamps did that issue!!:)

Very strange, @Stevie_d . Seems to be luck of the draw with fuelling on these. Some have changed over with no issue at all (Lozzy's friend 'Di' for instance who fitted a Racefit) and then there was @keithg1748 , who, if I remember correctly (as I usually do:)) had no end of problems with a Yoshi. Shame is that some have spend 300 big ones to put it right:(.

Don’t expect buying a 15k plus bike and putting a nice looking pipe on it to find the tickover makes u look kind of a twat wanting to rev a bike up to be noticed . Can honestly say that’s how it felt
