Stay away from Californian ECUs. They can be wired differently and not just run different maps/software.

Can't you get a proper map? I hear loads of crap stories about PCs.

I contacted them and they said it fits the bike but the US PC's do not have the O2 eliminator that the UK ones comes with and the maps are different, they also said the UK branch will offer no technical support or warranties etc as its a grey import.

I looked into getting the ECU dyno mapped by a place not to far from me and i think i am going to go down that route now.

    Thanks for the help!

Thanks Nigel :) I am a little perplexed by whatever the 'o2 eliminator' is that apparently the UK ones come with. I would have expected the only difference to be the maps that you load on rather than the hardware itself.

However I did also recommend he checks with Dynojet, so good that he's done that and made a decision as a consequence.

And dyno mapping always the way forward - so result!!

Pipes are on and idles well - sounds louder with no cat in! O2 eliminator fitted as no lambda sensor in the exhaust.
You mention about getting the ECU mapped - where is that at? Some good and bad stories about that, think if your bike is not running great and needs tuning could work well, but if fuelling is good not going to make a huge difference (my triumph was literally no different on dyno graph - although my mind tried to find some difference in it on the road). Would be keen to hear how you get on with this as ECU remap is much neater - and in theory undetectable!

I am looking forward to hearing what it sounds like with no cat once i get the new pipes on, an O2 eliminator is something i did not consider, i assume I will need one too?, is Ebay the best place to get them?

Yes, I am taking it to a place called Mototuning, it is just outside Dublin, been told they are very good! I am not overly worried about boosting power once it runs right. I have the full Akrapovic Evo system to go on with K&N filters and i will change plugs and oil before hand and see what happens.

I will let you know the results once i do it next month!

I finally got it sorted took a while with the covid delay, the exhaust is great, didn't think would notice but big difference with the akro system is huge. biggest issue was the fairings, never knew oem fairings clashed with racing headers!

Cant post any pictures as i do not know how to on this but can whats app also have the old quill can and headers for sale if there is any interest?

if anyone messages me can whats app the photos of exhaust if interested
