I started off by building the rockery to reduce the grass...then got it so I can drive in one side and out the other.
Then it was the grandkids trampoline and I saw a chute on eBay...and built a treehouse to fit it on to
All to reduce the amount of grass that needs cutting

That's exactly more or less I'll be doing over the next year or two, I've got too much garden, got planning to move existing drive, entrance & double garage, which at lwill downcut down at least 40%, and then some soft play areas for the grandkids..

    It’s never ending @Brom66
I have planning in place to widen my garage right over to the fence so it will be about a double and a 1/4 just to use all the space. I need to get the building warrant now but am saving up a bit first.
I thought it was bad with kids but it just gets more expensive when then start having their own!! Already had to extend the treehouse and upgrade the trampoline!!
Bu the way, the blue around the chute is that rubber mixed with epoxy and is 50 mm thick for fall protection to 1.5 meters. F’ing expensive stuff

Evening, been a while, but want to get our riding tomorrow morning

Those pics of me in my new leathers have turned up on, er, a few 'choice' websites :D Thanks for the link from the person who recognised me ;)

I'm in the mood to spend money for some reason, but im not allowed another bike (yet) - thats not so bad because I havent found one i want anyway

Going back to Spain soon, cant wait, have a local that we made friends with last time showing us some of the local sort of stuff, rather than the egg and chips places that you get

nice drive/garden btw, I am doing similar with mine, less lawn more gravel. Need the room for the four vehicles and one (for now) bikes :D

Dropped a fork leg out to replace a seal that blew a few weeks ago.
Got lucky at my local cycle shop who had a 19mm cone wrench in their workshop. Said it came as one of a set and they'd never used that size. Sold me it for a fiver. :)
...and swung by metal supermarket in Ibrox for a length of ally tube to make a damper holder. Steel would have been cheaper but they only had aluminium in the right diameter. At £12 I'm not really complaining and it'll make the holder easier to whittle.
Seems a bit daft to be fitting a new seal to a pitted stantion but the garden workshop is cold, wet and dark. Have a fresh pair of TNK stantions sitting here that I'll fit when the weather's a bit nicer.

Done about 400 miles with the old seal leaking. Hated doing it but only means of transport and had to get to work.. Wasn't pouring out, more weeping. Remembered the the sneaky old sellers ploy of popping the dust seal and stuffing paper towel between it and the oil seal so was doing that on a daily basis.
...and topped up the level a couple of times.
Was still nerve-racking though. Kept envisioning it getting worse mid-trip - was a bag of nerves every right hander I came to. :(

lol, so now I own the19mm cone wrench that'll probably never be used. :)
Looked at the fork top this morning and thought I'd need it to hold the lock nut while unscrewing the pre-load adjuster nut. Didn't realise that the pre-load nut just slipped off once the stopper ring was removed.

No excuse either. Was in the manual at the same page to check out the damper arrangement and just breezed right past the first bit of the stripdown. Numpty!

Although they use a different hanger due to the subframe I'm guessing!

Today being above zero I treated Tigger to a wash and took a photo of her next to my car and was then shamed into washing it as well. I guess it was overdue as last one was in the Summer
Its now sliver and not grey :eek:

Good visual merchandising of the boot/ trainer collection....you must really enjoy riding your bike to go out in this weather ....especially in white leathers...

Small window of opportunity today with dry salt free roads here before they respread tonight. So got the sp out from hibernation to give it a run and get everything turning over.

Nice to see it was as clean when I got back as when I set off :)

Bloody hell, roads with you must be clean. I wouldn’t get a hundred yards and it would need a full deep clean!
