2.7m is plenty of room! This has been finished to same spec as the house really, plastered walls and ceiling, skirting boards and spot lights. Fully insulated but no central heating. I use two low energy oil filled radiators which warm it up nicely when I'm in there!
I think I speak for everyone on here when I say we’re all very envious of your man cave and look forward to the cave warming party mine is about to receive further renovations soon hopefully.
But just to be clear; and to avoid disappointment. Mine wont be to the effort of Paul’s. At most we are talking a new shelf or two and possibly I’ll get rid of some of the shit out of there
ah yes and a micra rally car a mk 2 golf gti track day car but this is no excuse I have floor paint and wall paint sat doing nothing Jesus I've 2 light tubes out as well. I'm a bad man I've let not only my cave down but myself as well. I'm never going to get a visit from @Lozzy if I carry on this way .
Mine is a generous (at least for a bike) 6.7m long and 3m one end and 3.5m at the wide end and it seems massive when you’ve only one bike in there but you WILL fill it over time, but rest assured 2.7m is more than enough room to work comfortably in there. Just after completion...... Now (okay the trailer has gone but you get my point)!
It's not the length that'll be an issue, just the width Planning on a comfortable 5m length although I have room for more. Well, that's if I intend to ever put a car in there anyway... which isn't going to happen
@PauloHRC your garage reminds me of a high end bike dealership (not that I’d ever frequent one of those) It looks awesome. I’d be proud. Mine is a working garage where I’m cutting big chunks of steel off with a grinder or plasma cutter. BTW I priced the flooring and with a 3mm screed (dont think I need it!!!), and supply and fit it’s gonna cost me £1168! Suffice to say I won’t be paying that!! Supply only online was just £338! Looks like epoxy paint is gonna be the order of the day. Maybe the flooring wouldn’t take welding and plasma cutting anyway???
Thanks @exuptoy …….I am indeed proud of it, I go in and out of it approximately 5 times a night!!! There's not much left to do on it now, just a rubber weather strip needs glueing to the tread plate at the Roller door end as in really heavy rain a bit of water trickles in so this should sort that. though its not a working garage...….yeah I wouldn't want to be welding or cutting up sheets of metal in there, I can just do the general tinkering that we all love to do without having loads of junk in my way. All that's in the 10x8 shed I have in the garden!! The Mrs said "can we get rid of the shed now you've got a garage"? Oh how I laughed!!!
mine is dam full I've got garages at back of house but they are still full off stuff from when we moved and a bloody piano and the garden stuff. pics of golf for @Lozzy
