It is obviously very sad news to hear of KB's death. But does he really warrant all the news minutes on TV. Personally I had never heard of KB. I'm pretty sure that when NH died of another unfortunate incident he barely got a mention on TV.
It’s always the same mate. Most ball games are more popular as easier and cheaper to get into (trying not attending) so normally more people relate to those hero’s. Generally speaking basketball isnt that big over here but is massive over stateside. I guess they are more likely to become household names. Whilst it is sad that they’ve both died I do agree there is never much of a mention of motorcycling deaths. Which is even more sad as they literally put their lives on the line for the sport. look at the coverage for the two Dakar riders who perished this year, or Daley’s death last year. Barely any mention except in enthusiast groups
Always the same with bike sport! I noticed the other day, extensive coverage on BBC2 of the world Bowling championship's ffs!!. Yet bike sport doesn't exist with the BBC despite thousands of devotees paying their scam tax every year
Bikes and therefore bikers are bad. The only "sport" the tv licence scammers show now is what other channels don't want to show, or if the Government have dictated it must be available on Terrestrial.
Thought this thread was going to be some clever meme or GIF having them fighting or riding bikes or summat.... How sad it's only about their deaths.
Pisses me off when a celeb dies amongst several others, the others are merely a footnote. I don't see the fascination of the man either. One thing is sure....these celebs who value their time so much will never learn...don't get onboard light aircraft or helicopters in crap weather. Simple.

Seem's to be only in this country or certain countries where it's not a big deal when a motorcycle racer dies...….in Italy, Japan or Spain where motorcycle sport is second only to football, its definitely a big deal. I don't know if anyone saw any footage of Marco Simoncelli's funeral or Daijiro Katoh's?? HUGE!!!
