Before my fall out with Hunts, they indicated they would be unlikely to run a demonstrator. Tell you all you need to know really

Wow, that would be quite a crushing indictment.

Basically Honda are going after the superbike title simalier size to the Moto GP bike same size rider....I wouldn't want to run a Honda Franchise....other than commuter bikes what does appeal - not a lot of course Asian market it does but here in the west can't see them doing many sales ....people will go BMW or V4 route as not only great bikes but comfortable....I am 5ft 7 and feel blade is to small

They should keep selling the 2016 bike. Analogue bike for £9999. I think I'd get another. :D

I'm not in any hurry to trade in my '16 for anything else right now, wander into the garage and just smile. It's a great feeling!

Bennett review popped up. They had the PCP example. This really shows the impact of the price increase. Screenshot_20200201-114402.png

Having a laugh....I'll stick with 189bhp and mid range.....used to have 600s with 100bhp and would go just as fast on the road as I do now...just Longer wide open roads where the thou gains a advantage,
320 month could get a very decent car for that. ....although the deal on the v4s I'm looking at is 240 month but makes my heart go boom this new Honda doesn't do it for me....

It is silly. For a similar deposit, £100 per month and a lower residual, I bought the current SP.

£15.5k to have a bike for 3 years with a max of 12k miles

    Way out of my league.

Imagine paying £4k deposit, £320 a month for 3 years and then at the end of it the balloon payment is still £1k more than the outright cost of the 2016 Fireblade. These bikes are going to be rare as hens teeth out on the roads.

What sort of trade in value does the SP2 have over there?

Here in the US, cost $26,000 for the SP2. Was offered $12,000 trade on a new RR-R SP.

That shows me the market for Honda is dead. Finished. Kaput.

If their super limited edition is half value after 2 years why should anyone even look at the new one?

Similar levels of depreciation over here I think.

The salesman that sold me my SP2 kindly called me up and said they are holding the only RR-R SP coming to Houston for me and giving me first right of refusal.

I was quite flattered and went to visit them on Saturday - but the bike in US nerfed from is simply not exciting enough for me to take such a loss, considering the SP2 was supposed to be "the Honda liter bike"... and unlike previous SPs that were in fact 'the bike of the moment", it is as if Honda have simply said "no, no -- don't bother with that silly SP2... THIS one is the real deal'.

Sorry Honda, I aint playin' this game any more.

What went wrong with the SP2?

    Honda. That's what went wrong.

There is nothing wrong with the bike - Honda walked away from the SC77 and chased the future SC82 all through 2019.
