Servicing the Blade in the next few weeks, normally use my BMC but noticed some Hiflos at a really reasonable price (less than £15)

OEM are quite pricey, the BMC gets really dirty and needs regular maintenance (ie getting a bit lazy in my old age)

What do you folks recommend clean and reoil the BMC, OEM or HiFlow.

    TIA

I was pondering whether to go for K&N as I have an oil kit lying around in the garage, but I just went for oem in the end. The oem is good for about 10000 miles on the roads/time of year that I use my bike.

I've always just M&p etc. My bikes are standard so never really bothered about K&n etc.

Only ever used oem or k &n mate, haven’t had a problem with either, unless your using a full system and wanting bhp I think standard is good enough.

I'm using oem. I did have a sprint filter which I'd heard good things about but never got around to fitting it.

My previous HRC has bit of bling:
Bembo this and that, Dynojet electronics, custom maps, yoshis , Ktech handling, BMC, renthals etc etc etc and $$$$.

The only bits I transplanted to the new bike were the lightech adjusters and gear indicators and tbh quite happy with just that.
Probably just sell off the aftermarket bits and keep it standard

Greats thanks all!, always worried I might over oil the BMC and screw up the MAF sensor, will give the HiFlow a go

Was told pipercross are most free flowing and give highest performance gains - need to get my airbox open and see what previous owner had in there, but might replace with new highflow

slick give sprint a try. They are dry filters so no oiling , no need to retune the engine and re-useable

thanks, thats pretty cool, doing some research now.

Clocked the race version on ebay, hiflow yes but there's so much sunlight going through! it wouldn't stop a rock, the road version (PF08) looks to be an option though.
