Anyone use them ? I've found a place local to me that does them. I've never had them and think they are quite expensive but if they work and fit well I guess its justified. The first set I'm going for is the sleep type.. They sit below flush in your ear and they are the soft material for comfort. I'm a very light sleeper and my wife does train impressions when shes a sleep. So hope hopefully they will save our marriage/ her life . If I like them then I will get the ones for riding. Fitting is on Wednesday so see how that goes.
I have 2 different types (filter and pro sport)and both have taken a bit to get used to them. I got fitted for both at a shoe so got a better deal on the price£40 from a place called mercury hearing. I know a few who don’t get on with them, but I’ve had no problems so will replace them when needed.
I've got a pair with built on speakers. Really comfortable and work well for me. This is my second set as over time ears change shape, not so much of a problem with non-speaker ones but gets a bit expensive at the £150-200 a pair price mark.
Custom Ear Guards Leamington Spa, a few weeks back they did a visit your home sale down here in the South West, they started 7.30am in Bristol did several visit before they got to us at 4.00pm, we had 5 booked in they visited a mate garage and we went in one at a time with PPE etc, cost £99 for what I had but got 15% knocked off, they keep your records for 5 years in case you lose them. Take 2/3 weeks before you get them. Will let you know how feel.
I got a set of ACS a few years ago, impressions were taken at a Boots store. My big mistake was not going for a long enough ride during the "comfort warranty" period. For comfort issues the warranty is only 2 weeks with ACS. Mine were fine for an hour or 2 but one of them became very uncomfortable for all day riding. Bit annoying because the other one is great, which shows that they can be very comfy. But it's definitely worth using them lots during any warranty period you get.
Which ones did you go for out of interest? Never knew such a thing existed until I read this, a quick google search threw up these, not sure if they're the ones you've got: https://www.ultimateear.com/product-category/motorcycle-ear-plugs/ I prefer to ride with music on but the issue with 'standard' ear plugs is they can get dislodged when you put your helmet on and they don't block out the background wind noise. Means I need to have the volume on full whack, probably not good for me long term These could potentially be the perfect solution.
I've gone for the sleep ones.as it's a priority. It may save my wife's life . But if I like them I'll get the standard ones for riding. I like music too. I had a bluetooth headset that plays music/sat nav/phone etc. I tried ear buds for music but as you say they get pulled out with the lid.
