Reluctantly agreed to watch this the other night. What a fantastic film. I'm not into all that Marvel comic shite but this rarely delves into that. Watch it...you wont be disappointed.
Stunning performance by Phoenix too. I watched it on dvd not too long ago and was transfixed throughout....and normally I get bored real quick with most films.
I really enjoyed Once upon a time in America too. I'm a tarantino fan anyway but I was blown away with the epically crazy ending.
Not seen that one, maybe have to stick it on the list of "to watch" ...but just cant muster any interest in the whole superhero marvel comics stuff.
I forgot it was a superhero movie whilst watching it. Sucks you in and I was sat watching thinking how many people are on the edge of losing their shit with mental health issues and the pressures of the modern world nibbling away at you. It's obviously exaggerated but a lot of it is real life for some people.
Yeah excellent film, very dark, not what I expected tbh having watched a fair few superhero films. but after watching some shit netflix dire over lockdown anything is good !
as a kid I read marvel and dc along with performance bikes. I've watched all the marvel dc films with my kids . they take piss I know odd stuff about story lines ect. now the joker film was great . dark as it should be . the jokers a damaged man and the performance was stunning . a true film for old school fans.
also ill admit I'm like you @Lozzy I watch quiet a few films and my mind wonders as soon as the dialog stops . .....
