First time ownership experience for the marque and so far I'm impressed.

Feels physically small and the riding position is a little cramped, but it turns in well and holds a good line.

The gear change is a bit agricultural but both gears slot home with a bit of practice. Might need to take some slack out of the chain.

The forks and shock feel a bit under-damped, but no worse than my Vespa. Likewise the brakes.

Excellent fuel economy and hasn't used a drop of oil.

Build quality is overall pretty good - my 9 year old daughter said it was not the easiest to work on, but didn't require any special tools.

Looks like you need a new rear tyre, not much life left :)

And it looks like it is on back to front ?

I was given a Ducati at the bike show on Sunday - good spring action and left solid black lines every time I used it .......

Yet I have two mates having both had panigales with between 20 and 30 k on them and another on my commute who used it every day rain and shine and it never missed a beat.

Really seems like luck of the draw with them doesn’t it mate?

It’s the luck of the draw which puts me off. The gamble of do you get a workhorse or a lemon!

I came close to PX’ing the blade a year ago for a 2014 plate, white Panigale 899. 11k miles on the clock and a decent PX price for the blade. My MT10 was in for a service so I sauntered back over to the workshop waiting area to have a think. Told the workshop guys and they effectively suggested I didn’t get it due to the amount of miles I do and the big service which was due at 15k.

And it didn’t escape my attention that everytime I went there to get a service/work done - inevitably there was always someone bringing a Aprilia or Ducati in for work to be done under warranty :(

that’s the reason I never bought one mate as used to do 1k a month
