I'm looking for an Android app that will send a message if it detects a crash, or allows someone to see your location. Found BikerSOS but they seem to want to charge daft money, and as it is primarily German it does get a bit confusing. Apparently Google has some functon to do this, but as I seem to spend an increasing amount of time preventing Google from poking their nose in to my business 9 would rathet not use that option.
You can share your live location with someone on WhatsApp for a maximum of 8hrs if that's any help to you. Go into the conversation with your partner, click on the paperclip, then click location, then click share live location. They can watch you live then. It won't raise the alert if you've crashed obviously. Other option is to buy a BMW with the SOS button!
Thanks, WhatsApp will be good for the wife when she goes out horse riding, but I don't do WhatsApp/Facebook either I know my Garmin SatNav does a live track but I don't often take that with me on shorter "spirited" rides.
Just download WhatsApp and add the Wife to it. You don't need to add anyone else to it. Then when riding send your live location to her. PS. Don't forget to turn it off when visiting your side chick though! Chin
