    Am I being paranoid?

Religiously change oil and filter on my 09 Blade every 4,000 miles (she has done 26,000 miles is used and loved) I have never needed to top up oil in between changes before but today 3500 miles in since last change had to top up with about 200 ml of oil is that a acceptable amount to put in or could there be a problem ?

    Sounds acceptable to me.

I would say, just take a look around the engine for leaks. Just in case.

I find mine varies massively depending on how I'm riding. If I commuted for 3 months on it I doubt I'd lose any but doing the Northumberland TT on a weekend and it will need a top up.

That's very low oil consumption, Which also sounds acceptable to me.
If you are using 10w/30 grade oil, Than I would possibly start using 10w/40 grade oil at 26k.

Ordered 10w/40 yesterday as changing over the weekend.
    Thanks for your advice.

I would also if possible use OEM oil filter and sump washer. :)
Pour some oil into the oil filter before fitment.

Sounds well within the acceptable limits. BTW My previous blade used about a litre between changes which was about 4-6k.

I have found the blade oil level to be quite sensitive to angle, time since engine switched off etc.
I generally only check whilst on a warrior lift the morning after

That’s the amount between min to max marker lines.
I would recommend checking the oil every 1000 miles or less if you are concerned about usage.
Mine uses between 100 and 150 between oil change @ 4K depending on riding and oil viscosity.
