Hiya my friend Paulo! Did that weeks ago: https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/new-‘blade-for-2020.38128/page-70 Maybe you had a bit of shyness yourself. But to keep you happy, here's another:
Congrats on the new bike Nigel, She's a right beaut. I may have chosen a different back ground for the photo
Thanks Andy. I recognise now that the orange of the bins doesn't quite key in with the Honda Red. Damn, the blue dumpster is off also. Going to Moreton-in-Marsh today so might snap something more scenic to rival @blink 's photographic genius.
You're such a show off @nigelrb ......you should be ashamed of your self, posting pictures of all your fancy bikes making us all feel inferior Oh wait.....I asked you too! Looking good ......unusual for you to steer away from standard looks with the rim tape but it works
Nigel I am sure that rim tape was not in the Same picture earlier on. Not being judgmental (each to their own). It looks photoshopped in but if it is real it is an epic fail.
Interesting fors and againsts the rim tape. It was left over from a black/yellow FireStorm I was going to put it on. The extrovert in me thought it would look good on the RR-R, and quite seriously, still not sure myself. I do agree with my old friend @Wozza that the genuine article, at bloody £45 looks far superior.
At least you had a go N leave on for winter then put on new colours next season.....congrats on the bike ,,,,had a test ride and love it ...,never been on a race bike but to me this is what it would feel like....currently cycling myself silly so to fit on hopefully next season purchase ......very tempted by black change Honda on the belly pan to White ...maybe White rim tape ..
I like white rim tape on black wheels, I agree with the crowd though that the yellow looks a bit iffy Bike looks very nice in spite of the rim tape Is there a private plate on this one too? ..or is that a silly question
Frig, you've been cycling for yonks now. Must really be making inroads into your weight loss. Like others, I saw the black one at the NEC (2019) and like a lot of black bikes looked rather plain. Putting a large white Honda on the pan, a la BSB, would look really trick and complement white rim tape. You might find that as usual dealers are more negotiable in the new year, but of course this would be offset but what you'd be offered for your aging SP. Yes, it's a tight fit, but I'm sure you found that just a few miles down the road you adapted quite easily.
Got offered 12.5k on the sp 5600 miles and 2k off a new one....but at 280 a month a little to high ,,,,waiting for the 0% to kick in and yes did 50mile pedal up to barnstormer BMW in Alton as mate was having 1st service on his new X-R ....nippy ride but they brought me out a coffee ...nice team up there...
