    Hi all,

Has anyone had the paint protection system done, does it work, how much did it cost and does anyone know anywhere in Yorkshire that does it?

    Thanks,
    Lee

I looked into this years ago after I bought my bike new (2009). At the time ventureshield was the brand (3M) but found the kit surface coverage was not enough.
Fast forward 2020, the latest 3M offering (pro series) is self healing and thinner that the original on but I am told it is not available in the UK so you are with ventureshield.
XPEL & Sun Tek are as good if not better than 3M's latest offering.
Check the template very carefully and see if it covers all the areas you want. As standard, they only cover the frontal, fuel tank cover and parts of the rear but ommit a lot of others.
I like to see more of the sides of the farings covered specially areas where your trousers rubs agains them as well as the undertray above the rear wheel.
I am sure you can get the fitter to do a custom application which off course will cost more.
    I woun't go into the do's & don'ts which will be obvious.
I highly recommend it and if I had the option of a custom application at the time, I would have had it done

Had my 09 Ventureshielded (if that's a word) since new and panels are in as new condition would certainly recommend it.

Defo recommended, I have the 3M self healing protection film done from new by a specialist..
Had the front of the bike protected only. Nose, side fairings, mudguard, headlamps and belly done.
But was given the rest of the unused kit if needed done later.

Got tank grids and a pad on the tank as needed as paint left to polish ;).

    It definately does work.
My bike fell off paddock stands and scrapped down wall and snapped mirror off.
I removed protection film as it looked like it had scratches it but once removed there wasn't a mark on fairing
