In fact I thought you might like to see where it lives in my utility room. Next to the fridge which is next to the Samsung super turbo 10 year guarantee washing machine with an app.

    ENJOY !

    Fantastic.

I will see if this machine of mine lasts (whether it spits out any more error codes) and if so have a look at getting one of those SAMSUNG jobies.

If it's Samsung it will be abandoned by them within a couple of years and won't be any use on a more modern phone/tablet.

If you want a washing machine that lasts then get a Miele. Mine is now over 14 years old and has never missed a beat, touch wood. Best of all you can still get parts for it if needed, try that with a Samsung, Hoover, Whirlpool etc.

OK it won't connect to Alexa/Siri/Google/Bixby etc, but even an inveterate geeky nerd like me can't see any benefit in Amazon et al knowing about my laundry habits :D

Anyways, back on track, Kent County Council are now allowing us to book 4 visits and to the dump a month, up from 1 then 2, how generous of them, nice to see some value for my 3K a year council tax.

So that means a full lockdown clean out of the garage, and brutal it is, said goodbye to some important pieces of wood I stored away around 20 years ago, can’t remember the reason I kept them, so time to part ways. So over the next month 4 visits in Mrs KBs wagon should see a lot of memories drift away and get it all ship shape and ready for some serious bike servicing over the long dark winter months.

oh i feel your pain this is an exercise i had to go through last year and it wasn't pleasant. However my garage was massive once I had done it, fitted a new bench, bought loads of shelving. ..a top result in the end.
So dig deep, grit your teeth and you will come out the other end :)

Yes but it is one shopping trip which ends with a happy wife, and a long time without having to fix/bodge a crap thing where you end up shopping for a new one where the wife starts listing all the brands she won't have because it is made by the same company. #MieleFoAQuietLife :D:D:D

I need to do this as well. Some how a 4 bed house with out-buildings and a garage isn't enough space for 2 adults and a dog  Still have boxes that haven't been opened since we moved in back in 2011, as well as lots of wood, brackets and eff knows what that has been kept in case in ever became useful

Couldn’t agree more, it’s been a rule in the KB house for nearly 30 years, if it’s got water in it and it washes or cleans then it’s a Miele, dishwashers not missed a beat in 25 years, it’s on its second kitchen and I have recently been advised we need a new kitchen next year, so it might be an emotional parting of the ways.

Now the good news is that as the garage is freeing up space by the day, should be able to sneak it in the back somewhere :D

The second washing machine is closing in on 15 years as well, the first stopped working when I was stuck working in HK for months, so got my brother to pick up and install a new one, and stick the dead one in the garage, when I got my hands on it, it was just the brush pack, so fixed that and put it on the Bay and got £200 less than the new one, so over 30 years spent approx £1000, and saved the planet at the same time.

The tumble must be 20 years old and had to spend £40 on temperature sensor brush kit and fit it this year, quality of stuff is unreal and definitely works out cheaper in the long run.

Plus my friendly service wash lady never has cause to complain. Take note Loz!!!!

If anyone thinks of buying a Miele fridge, don’t waste your money, they are badge engineered and made by Liebherr, buy the Liebherr same product hundreds cheaper and a millions times better than all that Naff,AEG,Bosch shite.

Every single Naff appliance has failed in out kitchen over the space of a 15 years, it’s the Trabant of domestic appliances.
