So weather permitting are we allowed to ride our bikes during November ? I'm getting confused as to what we can and can't (legally ;)) do.

You can exercise or visit outdoor public places with the people you live with, your support bubble, or 1 person from another household.

    Outdoor public places include:

    • parks, beaches, countryside,
    • public gardens (whether or not you pay to enter them), allotments
    • playgrounds
You cannot meet in a private garden.

So I guess we can ride with one other to the beach, park or countryside

    not what Gov.uk say,

    1. Stay at home
This means you must not leave or be outside of your home except for specific purposes. These include:

    • for childcare or education, where this is not provided online
    • for work purposes, where your place of work remains open and where you cannot work from home (including if your job involves working in other people’s homes)
    • to exercise outdoors or visit an outdoor public place - with the people you live with, with your support bubble or, when on your own, with 1 person from another household (children under school age, as well as those dependent on round-the-clock care, such as those with severe disabilities, who are with their parents will not count towards the limit on two people meeting outside).

I will be on my bike for exercise while visiting an outdoor public place, it takes a lot of energy to hustle a 200bhp superbike round them county lanes on my way to the outdoor public place... sorted;):D:D

Go for it man. But realistically anyone wanting to take it deadly serious would probably not be using a Fireblade to form part of their exercise or indeed travel round the houses to conduct their exercise.

I think its a load of crap anyway, they're trying to use a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Also with the kids still at school they are basically pissing in the wind. I'm lucky I'm still working and can commute on one of my bikes.

Who knew there were so many scientists and professors in the world...

New ones wheeled out everyday by msm....usually to contradict one another!

These are all the weird kids we went to school with....

The ones who got their satchels hidden and chewing gum stuck on their blazers and occasionally their hair singed by the bunson burner...

And now they're getting their revenge....we have reaped what we have sown mofo's

Still.....it was funny at the time  :D

Am I correct it takes 14 days to incubate?
If so properly shut everyone and everything down for 14 day and it’s gone.
I am only speaking for my self but I do not know anyone and I mean anyone doing the lockdown properly.
So as far as I can see the government are on a hiding for nothing.
And if you are a worker and lived here all your life you might as well pull your pants down and except what coming your way.

You'd get rid of it within a few weeks if everyone followed the hands/face/space rules to the absolute letter. Unfortunately they won't/can't. This has got to be the reason why a lot of the Asian countries have had more success getting rid of it, their populations on the whole are disciplined people who will do as they're asked.

Would take longer as not everyone would get it at the same time. Simple scenario below

    D+0 Person A gets it, B & C isolate with A.
D+10 Person B gets is but is asymptomatic
    D+14 End of isolation/lockdown
    D+17 Person C gets it

Oh and don't forget it appears that the body's immune system loses immunity after an unknown period. This is a Corona Virus, same as the common cold and look how successful we have been in combating that after years of research and development.

    There's a vaccine! (sort of)

Also there is still no vaccine for the *current* FLU strain...it mutates every year; the big companies that make the vaccines have to plan 18 months in advance - collecting the current most virulent and common strains and then plan the vaccine around those hoping they get it right!
Still, it's better than nothing I suppose

Have seen that, fingers crossed it is as good as they say, although apparently it isn't the most easy vaccine to distribute.

If I was pulled up for riding my motorbike, in the lockdown, I would say I'm going to buy some toilet roll and pasta, most essential

This has been discussed in another thread but can't remember where
However this circled extract from the statutory instrument used to create the current lock down prohibitions clearly states travel to outside areas for recreational purposes is fully allowed provided your not doing it with your mates !! 20201107_170603.jpg

During the occupation the Channel Islands were subjected to those kinds of arbitrary rules - you can read them in the Occupation museums and wonder in disbelief how that came to be about.

There is one public notice order that I remember reading that forbade the selling of surplus vegetables that you may have grown in your garden - forbidden and punishable by order of the commandant.

I remember reading those orders that are now on display in museums, and wondered how could that be possible - well now we know.

I have such an order that was sent to every household that forbade leaving the house, under threat of punishment, not dated 1941 but 2020 - it is not in a museum but framed and hanging on my wall at home.
