Due to lockdown etc we weren’t able to go pub on Friday afternoon so we opened up our own at work and I’m pleased to say it will be opening today :):D I’ve attached our sign as a few of you might like it...

Enforced early retirement through injury last year, took me 9 months to get my head around it, now I sympathise with people who have to go to work, I thought it was the be and end all working all hours God sent all over the world, now I realise it’s fecking brilliant not having to :)

Back in for 5 shifts starting today after a month off (using leave) and will be working over the Xmas period, off for a few days and Then back in on 1st Jan.

I get compensated very well for working Public Holidays. So whilst I’m sprog free, I might as well get on it as much as I can.

In my case the thread should read WHEN ARE YOU WORKING AGAIN? All work cancelled this year, nothing solid for next year. I’ll just put it down as an unscheduled temporary retirement. Luckily I had a good couple of years and don’t have any debt or mortgage to pay. Have to say if this is what retirement is like, for those who took early retirement I think you’ve done the right thing.
