Christmas break, I’ve got to work until tomorrow lunchtime ish (24th) then off until the 4th, what about everyone else? Do you have to work over Xmas?
Due to lockdown etc we weren’t able to go pub on Friday afternoon so we opened up our own at work and I’m pleased to say it will be opening today I’ve attached our sign as a few of you might like it...
Finish 24th lunch time, back on 5th, although with all this talk of tier 4 after new year, might not be starting until feb?
18th till the 11th! TBH, with everything shut think I'd rather be in Il be bat shit crazy by the 11th.
Been such a shitty year that I reckon I will take early retirement early year and have lots of bike fun Indtead, fed up of working now, 2021 is going to be fun fun fun
Enforced early retirement through injury last year, took me 9 months to get my head around it, now I sympathise with people who have to go to work, I thought it was the be and end all working all hours God sent all over the world, now I realise it’s fecking brilliant not having to
Took early retirement in2013 got totally bored as everyone else was working so now working as a school mini bus driver its great even get paid while taking all the same as the kids holidays lol
Off now until 4th Jan, just hope roads dry up so I can get out for a few rides. Have a great Christmas and let's all hope 21 will be a better year for everyone.
I retired almost two and a half years ago, won't be doing much this Christmas can't f....ing move round here with all bloody lorries parked up. Just have to get stuck into my whisky/whiskey/bourbon collection.
Last loads of concrete went in the ground on Friday ,finally out of the ground for winter Monday n Tuesday was tidy up time for the break but had a costly mishap anyway back in on the 4th
Back in for 5 shifts starting today after a month off (using leave) and will be working over the Xmas period, off for a few days and Then back in on 1st Jan. I get compensated very well for working Public Holidays. So whilst I’m sprog free, I might as well get on it as much as I can.
In my case the thread should read WHEN ARE YOU WORKING AGAIN? All work cancelled this year, nothing solid for next year. I’ll just put it down as an unscheduled temporary retirement. Luckily I had a good couple of years and don’t have any debt or mortgage to pay. Have to say if this is what retirement is like, for those who took early retirement I think you’ve done the right thing.
