Is it just me getting old or is the government just so incompetent. They have spent years building and publicising they have a lorry park for brexit, then when we get the first few lorries in there is no toilets and no water or food? It shows to me they either do not care a fig for the working class or incompetent or both. what do they think controls these vehicles,

Yes there is a lorry park at Manston, but the queues start on the M20 into to Dover and then Stack is implemented, Manston is way off the route.

Second part is, no matter what facilities you put in, most of these guys don’t give a flying F, their filthy bastards, and leave their crap all over Kent, the whole freaking place is littered with their cast off bottles of driver tizer and rubbish.

This particular incident is stage managed by the Frogs to flex some muscle over Brexit negotiations and is a disgrace.

Hopefully one day we will get most of the freight onto trains and ships and rid ourselves of these cowboys, the term professional drivers is a compete piss take, and then maybe the roads around this part of the country will be a little bit safer.

Completely agree, same opinion as a lot of people aswell. The irony kills me that the French are causing the stacking up of lorries on a strip of land that played a part in their liberation only a few years ago .

Charlie you are so so correct with that comment, seems to me that the French have forgotten everything we did for them (and our Allies) in both WW1 and 2.

Bottom line is that Macron has started to dominate the EU, as Merkels time in power runs down, he has come to the forefront, even to the point that Germany has started to kowtow to the Frogs on some areas, who’d have thought that in our
Iifetime, whilst he is on this power push, his problems at home rise, the country becomes more devisive every day, with their African and Muslim population just about being held in control, but as the injustices rises, not sure even with a brutal racist police force on his side they can keep control. He really needs to sort his own cesspit out before starting on others.
Not sure how many people on this side of the channel realise what a police state there is in France.

As for some of the shite that’s coming out of the never ending trade talks, PMSL last week when a French minister said the French fishermen have been undermined, as it’s been so unfair, they could not have their say, he then went on to explain that meant they were not allowed to vote in our 2016 referendum !!!!!!!!! which affected their livelihoods.
These are wankers we are up against.

I don't think you understand the French one bit.
Stab a Frenchman in the back and he will shrug "c'est la guerre" and forget it
Do him an unmerited kindness and he will hate you with malice until the end of time.

French rulers have been trying to shit on England since 1067. I would say the UK rather than England but they have been in bed with the Jocks a few times.

As for their behaviour since WW2 just look at DeGualle and his approach to us.

There again it allows us to make jokes like "Why are the streets of France lined with trees? So the Germans can march in the shade!"

I live a stones throw from Manston. The locals are bending over backwards to feed and water the drivers, the UK are providing Covid testing free, toilet and washing facilities are provided. The air is full of press helicopters and the roads and laybys are jammed with lorries. Welcome to East Kent.

From a Kentish Man to a Man of Kent, well done down there, as usual the scum press are looking for any angle to sensationalise the situation.

Has anyone else noticed the total lack of any report regarding any British drivers that are stuck on the continent. Not a word on any network (that I’ve noticed) for their welfare, food, toilet, money, blah blah. What the French, Belgium, Dutch governments/authorities are or aren’t doing for them and how it’s totally unacceptable for them not to be home to their families at Christmas. Maybe they don’t exist

But aren’t the ferries massively scaled back, or are they running near empty one way?

I think British lorries are being loaded onto inflatables on the French beaches and towed out by the French navy so our coast guard and RNLI can rescue them mid channel.

Make no mistake Macron is under the cosh. Campaigning for their 2022 election is already starting and he ain't exactly running with the population behind him.
He faces some huge challenges and as it stands is probably more likely to lose than win.
He needs those areas with fishing in their communities to support him or defeat looms even larger. Boris will def give him a bone on fishing as the UK fleet is now so small we couldn't catch the whole quota by ourselves if we tried so it just makes sense to keep them begging then give in on fishing to a degree!
Macron has a country deeply divided by race and religion and its not getting any better. He is now trying to make it illegal to photo/ video any police or authorities whilst at work after their police were held to account for being shithead bullies after being filmed by the public. This isn't going down well.
If you think the UK is f@cked up just look a little closer at France, so in my humble opinion I don't see Macron as any force to be reckoned with just a fly in the ointment or pain in the arse.
