Apparently the self important hypocritical fuckwit also known as Lewis Hamilton has been given a Knighthood. Wonder if he has realised that he will need to take the knee before the Queen
If he is/was truly committed to his beliefs and convictions he would have declined the honour - surely?
Exactly. A lot of people who feel very strongly about BLM quote Britain's colonial past when they explain why they're pulling down 150 year old statues etc. Accepting a knighthood should be in direct conflict for him.
We do have some outdated idea's in this country ,all formed around tradition, bout time they got rid of the House of Lords too, (I hated calling people Sir when I was in the Army), hated being called that too

Maybe he’ll wear a BLM T Shirt over his suit, or hold a raised clenched fist when he takes the knee. Would be amusing to see HRH using the sword to take it off (arm, shirt or both)
I don't think he was thinking of the poor British people when he set up his company in the virgin islands, I think that anyone actively avoiding uk tax should be excluded, We won't mention the tax fiddle on his private jet
I don't have a problem at all with his supporting the BLM movement, good for him. And well done for his successes in motorsport. Having met him (briefly in a work environment) and seen the way he handles interpersonal stuff I would go as far to say he doesn't have a lot of time for the 'little guy'. His extremely high opinion of himself doesn't allow it. It technical terms I'd go as far to describe him as a likely narcissist. So I do think he'll take the knighthood.
They don't announce it unless the people have accepted it, so yes he will be being hypocritical once again.
Well I guess in a few years time we will have a statue of him, and no doubt the angry little snowflakes will pull it down, and throw it in a river, surely they will..... won’t they ? Can’t have statues of people that are part of the establishment of a country that had the greatest empire the world has ever seen and was involved in such things as slave trading, surely we want to be consistent about this......don’t we ?
