Checked my annual mileage for this year
    2140 total.
Usually do that on a 4 day Euro trip .
Roll on to a restriction and Covid free 2021.
    Happy New Year to all.

Think I managed a grand total of 3 trips out on it. Must be a whopping 400 miles max!

About 7500 miles split across both bikes which is pretty good given the restrictions throughout the year.
No big trips just little runs here and there

About a 1000 miles, mostly down to covid restrictions and the weather, had several days out cancelled by shitty weather :( I expect better things for this year!

Either way there is one seriously low mileage 2018 SP going back to Honda finance in 12 months!

On that note.....with PCP, when the time comes and you either hand back your bike or pay off the balloon payment, has any one ever made the finance company an offer??

My balloon or final payment is £10500, rather than pay that I'm seriously considering putting in an offer of say around £9000 and see what happens!

I've never heard of anyone doing this or if it'll even be up for discussion but as Del boy always says..........he who dares wins Rodney!!!;)

High miler, reckon I've done a tad over 600:oops:

Lost the farm maintenance work during after lockdown, just proves there is no loyalty after working probably 25 years for the Plant Hire & Farm. While others were kept on.

So found work for a rural estate to refurb/repair farm buildings and cottages in June which meant long hours to keep the work and get further work, which has now took us to Wales for the last 5 weeks and for the foreseeable future, but the money has doubled so a win win really.

So can't see much improving with getting out on the bike, but I'm only paying £80 per month for the SP2 got another 20 months before paying the remainder of the pcp. Never ride in the winter anyway, but hopefully will get some ride time soon.

I paid off the PCP on my ZZR, did this over a phone call on the final day of the deal, it was with BlackHorse.

As for making a offer you never know !

I did try and make an offer a few years back on a contract.
Pcp contract ending on a Mercedes e350 it was carrying about £2000 in negative equity as it finished which is why I wouldn't want to pay the balance.
I did ring Mercedes finance and offered them the same amount as the best part ex price I was offered for the car and they rejected it. I either paid the balloon or hand it back, they weren't prepared to negotiate. Their attitude was if we negotiated then NO one would ever pay the balloon , my attitude was well 'if you take it back and auction it off, you have a load of fees to pay ( collecting car, transportation and auction fees) and will get less than I am offering you now'?
    They still wouldn't entertain it.
Maybe other finance houses have different attitudes but Mercedes certainly weren't interested but this was about 5 years ago

Can't see it Paulo, aren't low mileage SPs advertised at £12k+?......get it bought, or chance your arm in the sale section here for £11-12k.

See, this is what I'm thinking! Plus this is in 12 months time so will be worth even less. Plus its up against a newer model in the market place.

Its got to be worth a try, if they don't go for it I'll send it back! Though part of me wants to keep it

At the moment they are yes, in fact there's quite a lot out there, which makes me think nobody's buying them! So in 12 months time I might have a bit of bargaining power?o_O

If all else fails Paul, pay them out for it. I’ll buy it off you for £8k and sell it back to you for £9k. You’re welcome :D
