It seems these day's people are struggling with mental health, is this a new ailment or was it always there, cant say we heard a lot about it in my day, but now it seems prevalent ,people throwing kids off buildings , stabbing little girls in the park and blaming it on their mental health, or are these people just psychopaths , not saying that people cant suffer the blues now and again ,but some people seem to wear it like a badge, maybe I'm just out of touch or is it just a sad world we live in, sorry if I have upset anyone not my intention
As a rule blokes will not like others to know they have an issue, and normally the issue is not an easy fix, talking sounds good and is a big help but when you are low it is hard,
I've been suffering with "Tinnitus" the last few weeks. Had it one morning a while back after a night out with the lads, just thought it was a bit of a hangover, few pills some water it went after a few hours. I've now got it permanently and apparently there is nothing for it. Apparently one of the biggest suicide rates in men, I get why. I will say it is affecting my mental health. This is what I've been dealing with the last few weeks, the 4000hz tone,. What Does Tinnitus Sound Like? | The Tinnitus Clinic Does anyone else on here have it ? If so what do you do to help you get through it ?
Get your ears looked at if you can. Sometimes wax sitting on the ear drum can cause it and once removed the noise will go too. I thought I had it but had my ears syringed and it was gone.
Had it for years , got used to it and it affects me most when I'm in a quiet room reading, I fall asleep to the radio which helps , think they call it white noise ( or something like that)
gotta say, i cant sleep without the tv or something on. I just get more and more stressed until i give in and get up. regarding mental health, I think its always been there, but recently, celebrities have been talking about it in an attempt to reduce the stigma, which gives the appearance of it being more common.
Mental health issues are as old as time. All the guys who came back from the first world war with PTSD were told they weren't made of strong stuff etc. We're lucky to be living in a time when it's OK to talk about not being OK. And for what it's worth I find riding my bike a great way of improving my mental health
I served in the Army, was in a few gun battles, killed a couple of people who jumped in front of my train, only really felt sorry for the parents at the Coroners Court, never took any time off work , dont suffer in any way from PTSD, but thats the way I've always handled things, people are different that's true.
