Just saying hi and happy new year! Picked up an RR8 on new years eve. Have been on the forum a few times to see what I can learn, looking forward to being part of the community. N
This is she, for now. Previous owner wasn't the most attentive, so she's due a few upgrades and an 'effing thorough clean. Ordered braided lines in the hope of some of squeezing some life into the rear anchor, finished putting the suspension back to stock settings for now, they were all over the shop! Found the recall letters for clutch and hoses, all work has been done Needs a new rear tyre as this one is a square, and is like riding a dirt bike with current conditions. BT016... UK... Good for 2 months of the year haha. Just umming and erring about a new end can. Currently can't decide between a used Yoshi, or Scorpion RP1 GP. Any ideas on that front welcome! It did have a D&D double LOUD thing that looked a bit crap, and was faaaaarr too loud, embarrassingly so. Anyway, I've had a scan through a fair bit of the forum, some great stuff on here. Anything you veterans think I need to look out for, please let me know.
Nice, yeah I'm leaning towards that exact one, but can only find used ones at the very top of my budget.
welcome to the boys club and enjoy your new family member. silencer choice is very subjective. I for one like the visual blending of the OEM. Lookwise, tylormade is ace but performance wise some reported issues. You could have it ceramic coated to preserve the bike's originality. You will find non OEM are getting thin on the ground. Scorpion, arrows still list this year bike model If you ride all year, put a rad guard on. Specially now that with colder weather, all the tarmac "repair" are loosening up and the gravel spreading
Thanks bud, Yeah rad guard is high on the list. Yoshi can on the way! I do like the way the the stock one fits in to the bodywork, but the noise is all but inspiring haha Was also tempted by a full set of cheaper fairing to keep the originals stored away from harm
