Who do these people think they are? Hermes have done it again at door And porch crossed I don’t have a porch and the parcel was not “at door” What gives them the right after being paid to deliver our items to us to think they can just leave them anywhere? There is a picture of it next to my step but it was not there when I got home. And if I was a thief I would just follow these drivers about and by the end of the day you to could have a van full And then to top it off Or friend work for DPD and in the first lockdown was told to work from home but in this lockdown they want her to go to work She done her job properly from home so why can’t she do it from home this time Like I have said these firms think they can do what they want Rant over I for one will be asking the people I buy off what courier they are going to use and if they say Hermes I will buy somewhere else.
Herpes aren't fit for purpose I avoid any firm using them like the plague Bazza Cant fault DPD though
I can’t fault DPD as a delivery service because they email you the day before to tell you, NOT ON THE MORNING And they have options of what you can do, one helpful one is drop of at local shops( I use Hughes round the corner) And Royal Mail take it back to their office which I like as well, at least it’s not left for some scrout to nick
Has a neighbour not noticed it and taken it in for you? Shit that they just leave them in plain sight! I've noticed more and more deliveries being made from cars these days. Some of them are so packed with little parcels they cant see out any of the back windows. Not sure when that started!
What really makes me laugh is the bottom of the card 1st attempt 2nd attempt and final. I have never ever had these ticked
quite true, photo proves nothing our local flower shop now takes pictures of deliveries on the doorstep. I accepted a delivery for a neighbour and she wanted me to put the flowers on the doorstep so she could take the photo. The world is going mad.
The Royal Mail turned up today, first time since Christmas, the parcel full of post included multiple items posted before Christmas, the oldest 2 postmarked 15 December, COVID is heaven sent for these boys, best excuse to do fuck all they’ve had in their lifetime.
DPD turned up at mine last week and took a picture of the parcel in my hand!!!! I have heard horror stories about Hermes and we've all seen Watchdog where the drivers were launching stuff over fences and the like, but I also think its down to the individual. I've always got stuff turning up at my house and the regular delivery guy is a Hermes driver and is also very polite and conscientious lad. Never had a single problem with him. Chances are you get the same guy everytime Bazza and he doesn't give a shit!
You must be the lucky one paulo We get different drivers for Hermes for some reason Otherwise I would give him a drink to look after my parcels, it would be worth that
A lot of them work on commission, ie how many they deliver. Returning a parcel to base isn’t a delivery and such like they won’t get paid for it, that’s why they just don’t care where the parcel is left, as long as it’s not back in their car/van whatever. Our DPD driver at work is pretty straight with what happens etc when he worked for another company and it’s pretty shocking.
