Planning to add a couple of things to the 2017 bike, and to facilitate this Honda very kindly supplied an ignition powered unused accessory connector under pillion seat.

I have just spent a while searching forum to see if anyone has used this feed, or specifically knows the type, or even better a source, for suitable half connector to mate with the Honda supplied one.

If it's been covered it seems well concealed, but that is what I am hoping to learn from this post

PS: Not fitting anything exciting, just heated grips and phone charger etc..

Off to garage in morning to take a look at one on 2017. The great thing about Honda is they don't like to change things unless it's either broken/poor performance or required for competitive pressures. Thanks for the post. If I decide to try, will post accordingly.

The connector on my bike is actually for the Honda accessory alarm. Looks like this..... 20201202_175133.jpg

The 2017-2019 wiring diagram shows the accessory option connector as fed by 2 wires through a 10A fuse in fusebox, so I'd imagined it was a 2 pin connector - another thing Honda don't generally do is waste money. Given wiring diagram, I must admit not looked at the connector itself, but will tomorrow.

Had a look on the bike today, and "humble pie", Honda did seemingly waste money. It's a 4 way plug with only two terminals taken up, and first sight a Sumimoto connector (might not have spelt that right). I shall look later on ebay I guess.
Never ceased to be amazed at the thin gauge of wire used, in this case for a 10A fused supply. But same all over the bike - but I'm no electrician.

I think it is a Sumitomo (I think spelt right this time) 4 way, probably MT090. Ordered one from Ali Express, so will take a while to get here.....
Can do rest of wiring and stuff until then, after all no hurry with lockdown.

I've used this place for Sumitomo type connectors before. They also do other types as well. Personally I don't trust the stuff off Aliexpress.

Never had any issues with Ali Ex.. Each to his own. I've had levers, anodised bolts by the dozen, wheel decals, carbon items, and more cables, switches and stuff than I can remember.
Not too much, if anything, on current bike.
Will note the source though as no guarantee the Ali one will fit, looks OK but.....who knows, just not in a hurry so time to wait.
