Fairings from china

    Anyone whos bought fairings from any of the chinese selling sites, did you have to pay any customs/import taxes? if so how much did it end up being around?

    Not personally bought any but have heard some reports of iirc £40 customs charge. @PauloHRC got some a few years ago i believe? If you get some keep me upto date on the quality etc. After some rothmans plastics

    Ah ok thanks £40 aint so bad, crashed the bike last week so this gives my opportunity to get some new plastics.
    Im looking on auctmarts and oyocycle.com will let you know how they are!

    Depends on the cost of the fairing set mate,I paid £60 in charges on mine(still not bad)

    How much were your fairings to have paid £60 and where did you get them from?
    Ones ive been looking at are aroun £400

    I paid about £320 for my latest set (auctmarts via ebay) and the customs charge was about £50.

    Yes £40 to £50 is what you would expect to pay customs charges now, I'd definitely go the Chinese route though. Sounds like you need a couple of panels so you may as well just buy a full set then at least you'll have some spares!

    A mates just paid the same £50-£60 on a set that he bought for his r1 from China, they came very quickly too and I’ve seen them, actually really good quality!

    I've just put on some back in Dec, can't remember exactly the customs figure but was under 50 i think it was around 40... the fairings themselves worked out about 400 quid... was going do a little review with some pics but not got around to it yet... I used iFairings.. I suspect a lot of the different suppliers' quality is much of a muchness.... but you really can't grumble for the price, I was surprised how good they look and generally how well they fit.
