That's about the only thing I'll be doing in this weather.

Out with the old, well not so old and in with the new.

That's as good as it gets at the moment after freezing outside for 20 minutes and today's random Teams meetings. It will probably stay locked and covered up now until it warms up a bit. :(

£12995 compared to £19,999 for the equivalent Blade. I just thought I'd leave that there. ;)

I like the looks of the RR version, same with the Tuono.

I actually went looking for a Tuono when I found this and it was a grand cheaper.

I was trying to remember how I ended up here and it was the announcement of the new Speed Triple with 170+ bhp for £15k. I remember thinking now, I wonder how much of a discount there is on a Tuono for comparison. So I bought an RSV4 naturally. ;)

Superb bikes to ride! Nice one.... You just need to bin them mudguard disco reflectors! Secured through the mudguard. Once removed buy yourself 4 Original BIC black pens and Rob the stoppers out the ends. Ooosh job done and holes are filled:D nothing more satisfying!!!

Are you going to keep those tyres on ?

Suppose they are all right in the dry ?

Is there any other weather? ;)

They're ok, had them on both Triumphs. They did get a bit sketchy at the start of November, but I don't do cold or wet these days.

If you decide to remove the tyres for something let’s say more compatible for the inclement weather and complete lack of heat, I would happily take them off you at a decent price. They are sublime tyres in the right condition. Unfortunately we get such a mixed bag! Even summer months we can get 4 seasons in one day... and for a bike with lots of low down bangers they struggle for grip and consistency in nothing over than perfect conditions. Hence why most run a more well rounded tyre, No pun intended ...:D they also destroy themselves pretty quickly, even the V3 version 3’s have a tiny window of optimum performance before the profile is compromised. Probably doesn’t help they only have 5mm of tread from new in some areas  poor show considering 7-8mm is the norm. I know too many people that have had full on shit your pants moments under the wrong conditions..... just saying like if you thinking of baling on the SP’s

Thanks for the offer @Dave dunlop, I'll bear it in mind. I had them on both Triumph's and really liked them on the Speed.

This is a bit of a different beastie power wise, but I only generally ride when it's dry and double figures these days.

    Interesting.

I sold the tyres that were on the R1 to the garage mechanic for £80, never used, fresh from the showroom floor. They were some kind or racey Bridgestone - the mechanic was well happy with them.

Liking the Pirelli Rosso III that came with the Monster, good all-round tyre it seems, and keeps it all Italian ;)

So first getting to know you clean and fettle done. Not sure why people were staring at someone polishing a bike in sub zero temperatures. ;)

Hero blobs removed and carbon tank pad fitted. Ordered a Puig screen and Evotech levers. I do find it annoying when manufacturers cut costs and put shite non-adjustable clutch levers on (looking at you too Honda).

Everything now covered ACF50 (metals) and Autoglym Super Resin Polish and Gtechniq C2 Liquid Crystal (plastics).

I do quite like that both engine casings have a hard plastic Aprilia branded protectors on and there's a cable already on the battery for an optimzer.

Just realised the screen I've ordered isn't due to turn up until the 6th March. Not sure why that's annoyed me as much as it has, because in reality it's unlikely that I'm going to be going anywhere before then.

How about some stomp grips too? I'm all over the shop when I ride a bike without them now.
