Hi - I have just bought a 2017 SP2 to replace my ageing VTR1000 SP1 as my track only bike. It already has a scorpion exhaust (scorpion bsau 193a 1990 2/19), which i have seen on many other bikes. I just wanted to know if anyone has one of these exhausts and goes on UK track days? Is it too loud? Does it need a baffle, or should I buy another exhaust? Thank you!

On my 2014 model the Catalytic converter is part of the exhaust header, I have replaced the end can with an Akropovic, it is fine on UK tracks even with no baffle. The CBR models that did seem to have issues were the models where the CAT was part of the end link pipe and silencer, they struggled unless they had a pipewerx type end can. So basically I've not touched the CAT which means it is a lot quieter, I think your model has the CAT in the header too so should be OK.
