Hi this is probably covered already if someone could point me in the right direction. I have a Cbr 100rr 08. I just got a PC5. my bike has a arrow exhaust and i have removed the o2 sensor to the exhaust. What is the procedure in regards to the 02 sensor when fitting a PC5. do i need a new one? is it essential? Any first hand experience would be great.
    Thanks

You need to get an o2 blanking plug pal to put in place of the 02 sensor, with the actual o2 sensor you can leave it in the exhaust or take it out and fit a blank in the exhaust too

Thanks matey. ive removed the sensor already and got a bolt in the exhaust. so now i just need the blanking plug to fit into where the sensor used to plug into my bike? i think its called a o2 sensor eliminator?

that's the one pal it’s basically a resistor that you can buy for pennies I believe but I just bought the blanking plug with it inside they’re about £10-£11 on eBay

Don't mean to sound cheeky, but if you don't need your sensor anymore, I'll happily take it off your hands? Can't seem to find any on fleabay...

    Ah no worries...

I bought my bike with an eliminator installed because of the stupidly loud end can, and with a bolt in the sensor hole of the stock bits.

So bought an arrow like yourself with the decat link pipe, and I'm convinced it's not running quite right. So before I look into a PCV over the next few months, I want to pop the sensor back in as it's still using the ECU.

Figured it's there for a reason, albeit emissions based reasons, but at least it will help the ECU and engine make better sense of the K&N filter and increased air flow, rather than just running rich with the eliminator installed, and no PC to sort it all out

I could be chatting out of my behind, but that's how I've understood everything from trawling though the forum.

Nice one, yeah sounds familiar, and new lithium batt hasn't quite solved it 100%.

MAP sensor pipe was loose/leaky on mine when it was really playing up, if you're that deep into the engine, worth a check.

    Keep us posted :)
