Hi Xray, what exactly have you done to modify this bit of the loom? I need to to this in the next couple of days, abs is stripped out but not built back up yet, waiting for some sato hooks!

Thanks Wayne, im sorted now though.

For anyone else looking to do this without trawling through the forums.

Its a fairly easy job, its just time consuming as the majority of the fairings need to come off, and it can be hard to see the bracket mounting points for the ABS, hardest part was the actuator behind the radiator, could hardly fit my hands in.

Once its all removed the wiring is as follows.

You have to make a little loom, you need the four wires in the starter relay and the green and orange. These all go to a 6 pin plug under the tank. The green and orange needs to be connected to the ground terminal next to the 6 pin plug. The heavier gauge white and blue need to be chopped and connected to each other/shorted. The other two lighter gauge wires in the starter relay are to be kept as is. That is all the wiring needed. The bike will start and there will be no ABS light. You can then discard the loom with all the other abs rubbish.

Different to the way I done it. To delete the abs light I had to cut the orange & green wire near the plug that goes into the clocks and earth it. must be two ways to skin a cat

I've seen people say this, but this green and orange wire probably goes through the loom to that plug, so regardless where you cut it, aslong as its getting the ground itll be fine. I haven't checked the diagram but the light is off.

That’s what I followed but yes you correct in what your saying just be sure to Earth the clock end not the other end that I firstly done which resulted in panic till I realised my mistake.
