I'm going to replace the coolant on both Blades soon and was wondering is there big differences in brands .
Castrol is cheep @ £5.98 per 1L Sportsbikeshop :) tight arse
    Or Putoline @ £ 7.99 per 1L .
how often do you change yours? ,,,,,, some say every two years ,,,,,,, book says every three.
    Can't see four being a problem o_O

Do all bikes every 2 years and for reasons unknown to myself always use Silkolene Procool, at the end of the day it’s all bollox and any major branded product that’s aluminium friendly is good enough.

Read an article once that said the antifreeze side of it never diminishes, but the corrosion protection does, again could be total bollox, but I have believed it ever since :(

Silicate free OAT - pink stuff? That's what I put in mine (07) after some research. Previous owner/garage had green in there - not sure if it was that but pipes pretty gunked up - flushed the whole system, changed some pipes and all pink now! Drained through water pump drain plug, easy and no hassles

I do mine every couple of years and use whatever I have that's the same colour as what's in there but give it a good flush out with a hose with the thermostat removed.

What colour you using Dern, I changed out green to pink due to the spec on the 2007 - pipes were pretty gunked up so gave it a real good flush too!

I honestly can't remember, I think pink but I'd have to check.

Thanks. Might have to order the 5L then, or just used distilled water as it's for the track bike.
