Hello all , hope your weekend is spent on two wheels in the sun So I am test riding a 2016 bike Monday , it looks super . Part ex agreed if I say yes go for it but I have a couple of questions that maybe you can help me with . It is a 2016 I think without ABS and without traction control , different modes . Should I be concerned about this ? The other thing is that I have recently done a track day and this is why I am switching to a sport bike as my current bike is a sports tourer with all of those other extras on it , the blade has the super smaller Akra and my concern is that it will fail the circuit noise limits , is there anyone here doing track days that can please tell me what exhaust they have , static is 105db , drive by 92db . MSV track days have been great and said pop up on a track day and we will find out but would appreciate guidance. Thanks Mark
Hi and welcome. Do not be concerned over the lack of ABS, in fact praise God that you don’t have it! ...search for the ABS thread on here and you’ll see just what a calamity Hondas effort was(is).
Hi and welcome to the forum. The bike you’re looking at has been registered in 2016 but is a 2015 model (the F designation confirms this). Good news is that it doesn’t have ABS - that’s a story on it’s own. On the later model 2016> They switched from Honda’s own system to a Bosch one and has none of the issues that affected the 2008-16. Mileage is low and if it’s got full history it’s most likely to have been looked after. You’ll be able to tell looking at it close up to confirm how it’s been cared for. I’m no authority on exhausts, dB and track stuff but others should be along to give more educated responses on that front. Enjoy
Just go to your local track as suggested and get it noise tested. 102 db is about the norm I think. It is at Oulton anyway. If I was you I'd ask if it has a baffle included in the sale firstly, then ask if original can is included, if not just buy a standard can for track days. You can pick them up cheap enough on ebay! Good luck with the bike

Those Akra Megaphones are very loud. Never heard one with a baffle though. Not sure about those blue fasteners
Hello and welcome. The fact it doesn’t have ABS is a bonus, just talking to someone the other night who recently bought a 2013 ABS for a bargain, unfortunately it came with a dodgy ABS system. I read somewhere the Akra megaphone exhaust is 105 dB, so with the dab killer fitted it should pass the noise test. If not as already mentioned you could pick up a cheap standard exhaust for the track.
Welcome to the club, i hope the test ride goes well, the bike looks lovely. I nearly brought one just the same with the akra megaphone. It was loud tbf.
Hi , so yes this pm I was out on the proposed purchase for 45 mins , well what can I say I was blown away . The bike seating position was very good (I am 6ft 4) , less wind issues than my Kawasaki sports tourer . The engine was a real surprise , it was so smooth , the delivery of the power a real treat and so manageable , the clutchless gear changes again so smooth and actually the brake (well you know what I mean) fine. The acceleration ha ha was effortless and great fun . Well I guess you lot know this already. So omg 10/10 I am so impressed and I feel like a excited little kid .
Excellent stuff! Bet you can’t wait, just right for the good weather stick some pics up when she arrives
Well done - seems like a peach of a bike given the low mileage. Great time of year to pick one up and take out in the sunshine. The engines in these blades are so smooth and appear to be super reliable too. Welcome to the forum (or family I might say) - there are a great bunch of ladies and gents that from my own experience on here are always willing to offer help and advice!
I know that feeling and still do when I get out on mine What I Have had a shock about is the price People keep saying thing have gone up but that’s what I paid for mine three years ago. The best thing with them is no button pushing to set them up just twist the throttle
