Got sent this, had not really taken any notice of all the kerfuffle being shown on telly surrounding the issue.
Having read this, two things spring to mind, as a football supporter who attends home and away games (pre COVID of course !), I see first hand both sides of the argument over crowd control, it’s a complex situation that’s made all the more difficult by attitudes on both sides of the fence, and would take far too long to explain here to those that have no interest in footie or do not attend games, but suffice to say mistakes and provocation are not a one way street, and both supporters and police have a part to play in a harmonious day, of which alcohol is a main factor on the supporter side that leads to issues.
But it’s got me thinking about us, the motorcyclists, and our want to congregate at certain venues across the country, noise and speed of machines, the general non riding public’s view of us etc, the same can be said for car meets etc etc. If I read this correctly, this will place a piece of legislation into the polices hands that will give them considerable latitude to interpret how they see fit to apply it, bearing in mind the current powers they have towards certain groups, and on the motoring side having been the recipient of several motoring ‘ASBOs’ for what I consider are minor transgressions of motoring law from Kent’s finest and their attitude towards freely imposing them and the penalties that can include, it’s quite worrying when such far reaching powers are placed into the hands of one section of society.
I will now be taking a closer interest in the arguments for and against.

Very interesting read. Not bothered to think much about it before as not a footie fan but the implications, as you suggest, stretch to the horizon. Seems it's been a bit low level as far as news goes, probably on purpose, and although it isn't going to make much difference I think a message from bikers' groups and similar organisations wouldn't come amiss. Maybe a letter to your MP too, although mine is Matt Hancock so that'll do a lot of good .
