Well you've made the Crash Chart now in HD ;)

Having now seen the BMW up close I can see the oil splash up the side. The bike definitely emptied itself up the side of the car

Horrible. Brings home the fact there are so many careless car drivers about. I only went under a Focus, so not nearly as grand as a BMW. Today, had the grandkids in the car on a 50 mile to the coast trip and had to swerve several times for Range Rovers and open tops who decided I was on their side of the country lane. Bloody useless buggers but at least I was in a car. Get better soon Lozzie, I'm sure everyone will be looking out for your replacement ride.

Really the main thing is you are ok - like Guy Martin after some of his offs !

In fact it is the only thing that matters.

Sad to loose the bike - but you would have felt much worse about loosing it if someone had nicked it. This way sad, but likely easier to live with.

Hope you feel better soon hey ;)

My heart goes out to you Lozzie. Been there a couple 'o times myself. Hurts like fuck, but when you can walk away with only scrapes and bruises, then there's definitely something huge to be grateful for.

RIP your lovely blade. I hope you find a replacement real soon. That was exactly what I did last time I was taken out/written off by a black cab driver in London. I must admit switching over all the choice parts gave me a good opportunity to bond with the new one. So even though she's different in frame and engine numbers; she's still my baby at heart...

Glad you're ok Lozzy. Inspired decision about the shortie boots, they don't belong on a Fireblade. Atleast you won't be living with a repaired bike, you've done a proper job of writing that off haven't you! ;)

Glad to hear that you're OK and as everyone says, the bike can be replaced although you will be gutted. I'm waiting for a similar decision to be made about my bike being written off. I'll post more details and pictures when it is settled.

Glad to hear that you walked, hopped or hobbled away. As everyone has said that's the most important part.

If you're going to do it you might as well do it properly eh, none of this scratched frame = insurance write off shite. ;)

Did I mention there are some good deals around on Superdukes at the moment. :)

Proper Job done their @Lozzy ! Glad you're OK but gutted for you about the bike, get yourself healed up quick and use the bike downtime to get thinking about what awesomeness you can replace it with...

Thanks everyone for your kind messages it's much appreciated xx

If it had been any other bike I've had, I'd have just thought bugger and its a temporary nuisance. But there was some deeply personal stuff with this one so that's why it's upset me so much.

Anyway.... the good news is, ably assisted by Nurse Di I've hobbled down to pop a holding deposit on this so I'm smiling again...:)
Hope to be fit enough to test ride it early next week and if it runs to my liking it'll be coming home :)

You’ll have to get your spanner’s out sharpish to recover all the trick bits (blipper etc) from the TT to bling the Repsol.

Glad to see you’re back out and about :)

Glad your all good lass! To come away from that type of impact with some cuts and bruises! I’d say Someone’s definitely looking out for you. Good to see your up and about and in good spirits.... Go easy girl:)
