Bazzaz TC maps?

    Hi folks,

    Looking for feedback from anyone with experience setting up the Bazzaz traction control system.

    I recently installed the full Z-Fi TC system on my 08 1000rr and have played around with building my own traction control map. After watching and reading all the info I could find online (which is quite scarce to be honest) I have come up with the following map, strictly track focused.

    Highest sensitivity at max lean angle and low throttle openings - basically at and after the apex and initial throttle inrease (5-7k RPM range) and gradually tapering down with increase of throttle (respectively decrease of lean angle). Additionally I have set the sensitivity curve to correspond to the peak torque curve of the engine. Furthermore the cut level is set to match the sensitivity level - high cut at high lean angle and tapering down with increase of throttle and standing the bike up. I also have the TC adjust switch so I can increase or decrease on the go.

    My aim is the system to serve as slight help at controlling slip (and additional safety), rather than a replacement for proper throttle control. The idea is that max lean angle and initial throttle application is the most vulnareble area and most difficult to control any slip. With decreasing lean angle and moving towards full throttle at corner exit slip is much easier to control with an upright bike, thus less TC sensitivity and cut is needed. The system needs to be least intrusive as possible so it doesn't slow you down.

    I guess a lot of people have it installed but most ride on the street and consider it a safety net in case of unexpected loss of traction... and that is perfectly fine. But it especially cracks me up when I hear "don't know mine's been set on the dyno", which means - A. you lack basic understanding of how this TC system works and B. your FUEL map has been set on the dyno... the TC map has most likely all 5s throught the range and calling it a day.

    I am looking for feedback from those who have experience with setting up or tweaking it themselves for the track and willing to share their experience and maps they have come up with.

    Noone really, lots of track riders here?

    Makes me wonder whether people have simply moved on from piggyback systems or its just that everyone is relying on a shop for the setup?

    I'm interested in either this system or the gripone system.
