Arrived in Potes today. Ferry was a bit of a nightmare, crammed us in like sardines. Vaccine QR codes were a complete waste of time, nobody checked them once. The control point on the Spanish side only checked our passports, they didn't check any forms or proof of vaccine. The security at Plymouth looked at our passports and the Spanish health declaration form but not the vaccine forms. I would have had the vaccines anyway but felt the decision was taken out of my hands by the travel rules. Had a feeling that might happen.

Anyway, I filled up at a petrol station about 15 miles outside Santander and it happened to be a Repsol station. I was having a breather outside and the girl came out and said I'd like to give you a present considering you're on a Repsol motorbike.....very nice of her....her eyes aren't painted on, she knows a looker when she see's one ;)

Cracking trip, can well recommend it. Ferries are a bit of a pain but its a short ride once you get there. Soon settled on the best 2 roads to stay on....N621 and N625. They're that long that you can just do these 2 roads all week. The smaller roads have incredible scenery but they're a little too winding and become tiresome. Hotel Infantado is superb and is very clean and family run. They also have a garage for €3 a night. Potes is lovely and has more than enough restaurants to keep you happy.
