More boring chain maintenance

    I would think the long run back to the sprocket allows the drip of oil to disperse and leave the chain altogether before the rear sprocket gets to work it’s magic. Dropping oil on the top run means the front sprocket does it’s stuff straight away and forces the oil on to the sprocket. Or does it? Maybe maybe not. Centrifugal force has a lot to answer for.

    I use muckoff all weather lube because I like the smell and read on here once to use ordinary WD40 to clean the chain with a rag and rub and I have done 8000 mls so far and so good
