    Hi all,

Just been out for a short 60 mile blast and the exhaust has to go.
Don’t get me wrong it sounds wicked, a bit dirty in fact but in a good way
trouble is I’m not as young as I was and I think my days of loud pipes are firmly behind me (ohh matron!)

Does anyone have a 2004 stock end can they don’t want? Mine has stock headers but I’ve junked the servo motor, I assume I can run a stock can without this ok?
My end can is a Micron, if anyone wants to do a straight swap I’m happy to do that.

Cheers for reading this old man’s rambling waffle
    Tony

As it happens I think I still have the stock can from my 04 in the garage, plus maybe some other bits.Where are you based?
    I am in Poole.

    Spoke too soon.
    I’m an idiot.
Bought an end can, that’s cheap I thought.
F#ck my luck. Of course the link pipe on my bike is for the micron can fitted.
Then I realise the oem can needs a cover, so now I’m missing two parts.

Does anyone have these in the depths of their garage please?
As I’m going the opposite way to most owners I wrongly assumed it would be a doddle finding stock parts.
    Thanks
    Tony

Something does not sound right, do you have a full system?

I had a Micron end can on my 04 which was a direct replacement for the Honda one.

Are you going to need standard headers as well?

To be honest Iain you’ve got me thinking now. I just assumed it was a stock system with an end can on it. My plan was to swap cans back to stock to quieten things down. The link pipe on the bike looks too long to gel with the stock can, hence my assumption it was part of the micron part of things as I know some aftermarket cans come with their own link pipe.
Not sure what to do now. Maybe find some better earplugs?

Looking at the parts diagram on Fowlers I would say my headers are stock as it has all the same lumps and bumps and mounting points on it.

Has it got the cat in it (just below link pipe), that would mean stock headers. If not then aftermarket or US headers (as don't have cat). Should be able to get most parts off ebay reasonably. The bit that is a PIA to get hold of is the clamp from link to tail pipe, but still might be some about

Sorted. Just found the whole kit together on eBay for a very reasonable price, can’t wait for the silence, my younger self would be laughing his tits off at what an old fart I’ve become:)
