I'm fancying a change of bike from a Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak back to a cbr1000rr, I'd thought about a Repsol model, but actually fancy getting the Urban Tiger.

For those that have owned one, anything beyond the normal to look for?

    TIA

I have a 2015 (not urban tiger) and I would suggest you do not get the ABS version. There are issues with the system and like me and many others, you'll probably end up removing it.

2015 is a great bike though, I can't think of any specific issues to look out for. Just make sure its been looked after. If its got 16,000 miles or more make sure its had the valve clearances checked as that is a 16,000 mile interval. Anything else is usual stuff for any bike although others with more knowledge may be able to add pointers.

Thanks, I just missed out on a non abs model, not in a hurry and may opt for a Repsol model also.

    The hunt continues!

Covered 12,500m on my 2015 from new and can't think of any weak points. Prices are crazy though.

What more do you need from a bike? It does it all (well nearly) and looks that make you look again.. Here is mine.

Lovely that. Don't think I've ever been up close to one, is it a proper paint job or sticker set over a base colour?

Mainly paint with lacquer over. Without nipping to check, it’s the big cbr logo and faux black fairing holes that are stickers. From memory I think it was spraybay who were commissioned to paint these. Something like 115 done?

Should drill actual holes in the fairing, like my mate did in his CBR400RR in the early 1990's :D

Love mine. Had my 14 plate for 15 months and done 4k miles. No issues at all. Love it.
