Hi all My name is Mike, I've been quietly peeking around the forum for a while now, but thought I'd break cover as my first Fireblade (brand new 2010 Black with Gold wheels) gets delivered next week! Very exciting. My current bike is Triumph Daytona 675, but has been used exclusively as a track day bike for nearly 4 years now, and is like a child to me, fabulous bike, and I doubt I'll ever get rid of it. But I recently moved to Catalonia, Spain, and another bike for the road is something I can't live with out given the tarmac I now have at my disposal, the roads are fantastic, and the Pyrenees just over an hour away, so I'm a lucky boy for sure. The obvious choice for me was a Honda Fireblade, which was only galvanised from hearing about living with one from owners on forums like this. I first test road an 08/09 Blade a few years back and it blew me away. The quality of the product, the handling, the power, riding position.....I remember laughing out load in my helmet on the test ride after cracking the throttle wide open in 2nd and 3rd and thinking that bikes like these should be illegal and that I should never own one. But now I do, and can't wait to get my mucky paws on it. (I actually took a BMW S1000RR for a test ride on the same day, for me it didn't compare, lovely bike no doubt, but not a Blade.) Anyway I'm rambling already, just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the useful info on this forum. Cheers Mike
Hi Mike and welcome to the forum. I am sure you will love your Blade as much as we all love our own. Sounds like you have a great area for riding in, a little better than the roads in Suffolk and Norfolk....maybe even better weather Enjoy the site.
Welcome Mike. I also test rode the BMW 1000rr as well as the blade, and glad I'm glad i went for the blade. And we will need pics of some of these roads
Recepción Mike Good choice of weapon, you wont regret it. I don’t know that region well other going through it from Andorra to pick up the E15. My ex wife is half Spanish and so we spent most of our summers in Moraira on the Costa Blanca south of Valencia but probably about 300 miles further south of Barcelona, but well worth the trip as its a beautiful town. Javea is also a wonderful place to visit. I would move there in a heart beat. Enjoy your time there. véale más adelante
Welcome to the forum Mike You won't be disappointed with the bike or colour choice. After all it is the best
Hi and welcome Mike ! Do you know, that all the rain from UK will be in Spain this year and we will have a lovely summer !
