So.. I sold the Blade a few weeks back. It's an amazing bike, but for me it was time for something new.

I had a shortlist of bikes. I really wanted a middleweight bike ultimately. It came down to the Aprilia 660 (RS or Tuono) or the Triumph Street Triple RS. In the end I went for the Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory.

I rode it home from the dealer, and it ticks lots of boxes for me. Really is a special bike, and at a bargain price. What do you think? Am I crazy?

Looks like a lovely little bike........what made you go for the 660 over a v4??

I'm presuming the price difference was the deciding factor?? How much did you get it for??

So.. this little thing cost £8k. 1400 miles on it, 72 reg, and full Factory.

I test rode the V4. Its amazing, no doubt. But almost has too much power low down, and can get you in serious trouble. Not to mention.. £15k approx, and then having to insure it!

Might get the V4 next time though. For now I'm having fun on this little thing

Looks good. Do you think you'll end up riding it at max revs more due to the lower power, or was the idea to cut the speed you ride at?

Sometimes it's nice to crack open the throttle and not worry about what's going on 3 miles away. Had a itch to build up an ER6 super twin for some road fun.
    I'm sure it's capable of 150!

Haha.. likely both. It's definitely a big step down.

Main thing is I want to enjoy the handling of the bike more, and less about worry about speed limits and power.

    Yeah exactly this!

I'm sure I'll miss having a 1000cc bike. But for now, I'm enjoying a change of pace, and more focus on how the bike handles. [The Blade handles amazing, but for me it was always overshadowed by the riding position and the power of the engine!]
