Hi, So the bike came with small generic indicators on the front and the Oxford "knight rider" type on the back, when switched on they blink really slowly the front looking very slow, I thought this was because they were waiting for the back to fully light up. So I had a spare pair the same as the front so changed them over and still blinking slowly! Presumably these bikes don't do this from the factory? I'm clueless with electrics but wondered if the stock indicators has bulbs as opposed to LED'S and this could be the reason? anyone had similar problems or ideas? I'm concerned the bike could fail the next MOT and I would like to go back to the stock if they are cheap and easy to find. thanks for any help in advance, Davey.
Original ones have bulbs in, you can pick up a set of new none original indicators for £20. standard one's look better IMO
Cheers Selmer, just ordered a set from e-bay hopefully that will sort the slow motion out. and I agree they do look better.
I've never seen indicators flash slowly before......usually when you have un-matched or LED's without resistors you will get fast flashing! Hope you sort it!

Taking it you bought the bike like it. If it's now all led I'd imagine a resistor/s were fitted inline that are of too higher value. The less the load the faster the flash rate, hence led will flash faster. So then resistors added to slow it down. Pull the wiring apart leading to the indicators and hopefully you will find it probably underneath a load of insulation tape.
Taken from the, MOT inspection manual: motorcycles 4.4.4. Flashing frequency Indicators must flash between 60 and 120 times per minute.
Thanks for the replies, I've taken a vid to show what I mean. I also discovered the indicators work with the key out too! When I was faffing fitting the same set on Friday the battery went flat and I had to bump it to start the bike, so does this mean I have a constant live? Reminds me when asking the apprentice to check if the indicators are working, and he replies " Yes, No, Yes, No " no help at all, but I would get an led flasher unit and try to get back to original wiring
