Very nice @Manofsteel but at the back of my mind I thought you’d returned your SP to stock and sold it.
I did return it to stock and it was up for sale but no one wanted it,a couple of chancers offered ridiculously low price for her and I wasn’t letting it go for peanuts,so rather than it stood idle which does them no good it’s getting the odd run out If someone comes along and wants it and makes a decent offer it can go
year, mileage, how many owners and history please mate, What mods where taken off and what you looking for it please mate?
Meet up with @PauloHRC @Boothman and @Matt7247 this morning @ Garstang bogs for a ride up to Settle, brilliant weather and great roads what could be better . No pics because nobody could be arsed
@PauloHRC @Boothman @Selmer50mark was good to meet you all, weather was grand for a cracking morning out.
Our soon to be six year old granddaughter was similarly challenged by one of her school friends that I had to prove with photo evidence
Was out today doing the rounds of Norfolk. Stopped for coffee and chips at a well known biking cafe. One guy older than me said he was 89 and wasn’t going to stop riding for anyone. Had a beemer of some description. If he’s safe and competent then why not.
And why the feck I get a US flag by my name I don’t know. Suffolk is not that far west! Ok Mildenhall. More left hand drive cars here than most of UK.
Today I went down the garden. The plan was to meet my brother for lunch at a carvery and I was plenty early. As I scooted the bike over the lawn at 0mph I was hopping my feet along to stay upright and I misjudged it. I put my foot in the hole round one of my trees. My leg wasn't long enough for that trick so over we went. "Oh bother" I thought. "I'm glad I practiced standing the bike up (on the lawn)" "Ha Ha" said the laws of fate "Gotcha!" Knee pinned to the tree. If I'd got another 10cms further or less I would have leant the bike on the tree but here I am with my knee pinned in a gap between sawn off branches. I'm stuck. Knee is stuck so I have almost no movement in my hips. Bike is at about 40 degrees off the horizontal. I have nothing to push against and nothing to pull on. The pinned foot is too sloped to push and the other one is not able to reach anything. This is getting silly. After 10 mins of inventing new ways to fail a lady the other side of the lane at the bottom of the garden opens her window and asks "Are you all right?" "NO", She came and brought the guy from the house at the end of the lane. Nigel is rescued. Bike is undamaged. The knee is OK too. Ten minutes chill time and I decided to continue. Wet and windy so not a nice day for the bike but.... Had lunch. Got home. I've been telling myself to be careful going past the hole for years (three bikes) and it finally got me. Idiot! Now I need about 100L of topsoil and some grass seed to make it flat.
Blinking heck @Nigel H, don't know if that was lucky or unlucky. Either way, glad the bikes undamaged and apart from what sounds to be a bruised knee (and ego) you are unscathed. Good job you’ve decent neighbours . You’re right though - defo time to fill that hole in.
A very very rare midweek ride out the planets just aligned with work, wife and everything, too good an opportunity to miss so Whitby bike night via Helmsley good few there a bit windy over the tops but pretty much a clear run there and back
That time of year! Had a buckshee day off and got out for a few hours turning dinosaur juice into smiles
Had a run out last Sunday to Glasson Dock in the afternoon, a bit cold but there was a dry line . Got talking to an old bloke who was riding a bike from 1925 a Vickers Enfield , 1000cc v twin , never seen a bike like that. Probably very rare.
