Started the day with all good intentions: But Banjaxed going into Redgate, misplaced confidence Fun while it lasted before the weather spoilt proceedings. Clutch was fine though! I'll see what can be polished out...
Thanks Bladey. It's my track bike, not my road steed which I am much more 'emotionally attached' to. Hopefully, I can get it back to track worthiness reasonably swiftly :Thumbs Up:
Stripped down and fully checked out for damage Clip-On and Rear Brake Lever broken. Clutch Side Cover Scraped but not leaking. RH Bodywork poorly end to end. Ordered an aftermarket (Painted) set - Arriving Early July (from PRC). A few brackets, exhaust end shield damaged but replacable, odds and ends. Amazingly Light Pod and Screen still good! All kitty litter removed (I think). A souvenir & pertinent reminder to take to my next Track Day when fixed.
This week I’ve serviced the oil & filter, suspension (new fluid etc) brakes, had new tyres and MOT. Here’s a shot from top of military road on Isle of Wight. Bike was quality.
Tried to insure it after a number of years sat under covers. Crazy money Anyone else came back to biking after a few years out and found the same? I expected to pay a bit but its more than when I first insured it about 9 years ago.
Stupid no claims bollox I guess, pissed me off 16 years ago when I got back into biking after a few years away, never had a claim, yet you have to build up no claims on all your vehicles, I mean you can only ride/drive one at a time, bloody insurance is the biggest scam
It's such a con. I was hoping to make a trip over to the IOM on it before looking to sell it but I don't think I can justify it. I'm going to call Bemoto tomorrow as their site wouldn't even quote me but were always decent in the past.
Full Not-Honda Fairings have arrived from PRC. Seem not too bad. All pre-painted Matt (Satin?) Black so happy with the purchase. Many thanks to @yorkshiregooner for replacement clip-on, rear brake hanger and deadhorse end shield Doing full coolant change, with radiator test, and general check over while it's butt-naked before cracking-on with reassembly. Will update on ease and quality of fit once I've got onto it
