I would imagine he left them on as he hasnt changed the tail section as its a royal pain.......or he is riding the bike to the td hence leaving the rear light in place

    Looks good...

Also regarding pillion pegs, suppose they would act as a good manufacturer fitted crashbung, to protect the tail?

Cheers, getting the stock fairings off was a pain, they are the most difficult I have ever swapped! I was running out of time to swap the seat unit, and it looked a pain in the arse. I too was thinking that the pillion pegs would make good crash bungs lol. I ride it on the road too...so being able to mount the number plate easily and having the brake light is important so I guess I will leave it as it is now :)

I bought the fairing from ebay. It was a nightmare to fit. I had to modify it extensively to get it on. Look how short it stops on the gear change side!

Looks good buddy..... I put mine on the other day after buying it from a fellow forum member... Changing the tail unit is alot easier than the front fairing! i will post up my pics soon as i'm changing her back into track trim at the end of the month....... The only thing original left on mine will be the front fender and rear hugger.... I'm also going to keep my pillion pegs on for easy strapping down on the trailer..

RE - leaving pillion pegs on.... in the event of a slide, these do indeed protect the tail BUT they can also dig in causing the bike to flip.

I have my full kit siting in a box in the hallway - no time to fit it! Where did you get your air tubes from?
