Well tomorrow is the day, start of a small refit in the garage. a first in 14 years since I moved in. lots has been added and moved but nothing very much. So roof going to be removed and replaced with a fancy "non leaky" roof. hoping it will stop raining inside plans are as follows. and are on a budget side, Mainly as it i don't have lots of £££ like many others Flooring should look like this my basic kitchen worktop and homemade shelfs will be replaced with I have new fluorescent high frequency cool white lighting to go up. Shelfs I do need to make up to stack the wife's freezer and tumble dryer a few pics so far. and the House has a room full of tools, roll cabs etc... hope it's worth it in the end
Quality thread mate!! Been itching to do mine For a while - this might just inspire me into action... Good work Matt! Keep the updates coming....
I'd love a garage, about the only regret I have is selling my old house with 1 double length garage and 1 double garage + workshop. Enjoy
Nice thread. Will be watching you, so pull ya finger out. P.s. Any probs with wiring, just remember. red to red, black to black, blue to bits. Any sparkies on here, yea yea I know.....new colours......
bloody hell i cant believe you managed to fit all that into a single garage dude............good luck with the weather
That man cave is going to be cool matt I'll bet do like that roll of flooring your using how much is it? Got carpet down at the moment and fancy something else.
It's not cheap yet saying that the interlocking foam flooring I had was £8 a pack and I needed about 15. the roll flooring was off the top of my head about £110 for about 10 x 15 feet long. that was from Costco
Wire, plugs, screws etc... all bought. this is starting to get expensive and I've yet to buy the flooring or work station
Cool thread, Rem. Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished Is that the rubber coin flooring stuff from Costco? Is it glued down or anything used to join the lengths together?
Cheers and it's just interlocked and laid down. nothing holding it down other than the car, bike, etc...
Right, it was going to be 1 day to do the roof but will be a few more hours tomorrow AM. only the side panels and a few bits to do. I've decided were I can put the twin lights and will be getting these Protector 2 Mini IP65 10W LED Floodlight | City Electrical Factors for the front of the garage mainly as the wife said I can and I can hook it into the system for the lights. With the garage door that comes into the garage I cannot put twin florescent lights at the top end. Spent 3 hours after work removing shelves. going to pick up the workstation with my BIL on Sat. Started to paint the walls in teh area I am putting a few things and moving the freezer and tumble dryer. freezer is great when working in the garage. Room temp beer in freezer for 20 mins. nice and chilled rotten front panels removed with new wood. new panels in front to protect then from rain and crap
Just to say removing some of the flooring and as the garage in 1 area is about the same height so can get wet and is at the moment. Could I seal the floor and add the self leveling flooring? f yes any suggestions on the best places to get the self leveling flooring paint stuff????????????? My garage has a 9ft by 16ft internal floor areas so wondering how much it may cost to do this
