Surface Dressing Petition

    Hi all i have started a petition against the use of Surface Dressing on the road if you are like me i am sick to death of councils trying to use the same old excuse to put this poor rubbish surface on the road as its just an accident waiting to happen for all transport especially 2 wheeled.

    Could you all get as many people to sign this if you are a member of another forum please copy this link to that forum and ask them to join in it does not have to be a bike or other transport forum just anyone who is interested in stopping this method of resurfacing

    Your bang on only at weekend i was on the M56 and came off at the Helsby Turnoff around the roundabout go left and Bingo straight on into this pile of crap .Kept it straight whilst still trying to head left ,(Not HP) Also you get the rednecks in there poxy pickups flying through this causing a dust cloud. Just signed the petition.

    Wow... only 29 signatures in total!!!? I was expecting many more than this, even at this early stage!

    What are we specifically suggesting as an alternative to surface dressing so our argument has more clout!?

    DJ, I've signed the petition after a fair bit of thought, finally coming down on the side of I hate the bloody stuff, driving through it in the car accelerates its depreciation at best, driving through it on the bike is just bloody lethal and any leverage to address that it is not a suitable solution has to be good.

    The reason I took my time is because I feel the same as Bluekontak and Masher in that by wording the petition almost as a demand doesn't offer sufficient opening for debate.

    In principle, however, I'm with you 100%.
