Well i wasn't to sure what section to post this in , i just booked my ticket I'm heading to the UK on the 22nd of this month . we will be at Donington park on the 24th , though my old team mate Matt Patterson i have been invited over to ride a Honda NSR 500 , they said there will be 3 NSR 500's and 2 YZR 500's , plus a few 250's and other bikes Wife thinks i am mad going all that way , but there are not many out there that have a chance to ride one and i have always wanted to throw a leg over one for a few laps .
you lucky lucky boy, i would love to ride any of the old 2 stroke race bikes, best bring an umberella though

Not mad at all. I'd travel half way around the world to have a blat on a proper 500! i think most of us would.
thats got to be an experience worth going anywhere for. any time i watch any onbike footage of the 500 stroker era i just go completely numb and tingly. once in a lifetime chance i,d imagine.
gear is all packed , I'm just waiting for the Taxi off to the UK tonight land 12.30 tomorrow lunch time , wether looks like is going to be spot on as well
Lucky man. I've done 6 laps on Jurgen van de goorberghs old NSR500 V-Twin, always hankered for a blat on a full fat 500!

i fly out at 5 pm today mate , was very very lucky with the weather :-}} bike was great to ride but not the monster i was expecting , engine made good power and was fun to ride but nothing scary about it what so ever . the mates GSXR AMA 1000 hits a lot harder and you ave to me a lot more gentle on the throttle and my CBR1000 is a bloody lot faster , but still a lot the fun to ride
Wow! What a great day! I wonder if the 500's are detuned now for reliability; maybe even restricted by the cans to keep the noise down?
